Employee Information Security Training

Whether you’re at home, traveling across campus or the world, learn to protect your personal information and to keep your devices secure. We are pleased to bring employee information security training to BYU faculty, staff, and administrative employees online and on-demand. All university faculty are encouraged to enroll in this information security training.

Currently, we recommend all employees start with 'The Essential Three' training block . This includes:

  • Information Security Basics (12 mins)
  • Introduction to Phishing (10 mins)
  • Beyond Passwords (10 mins)

These introductory modules contain essential skills and information you need to recognize e-mail traps (phishing), avoid weak passwords, and minimize daily cyber security risks.

To start the training, select the button below or log into Y-Train (My Absorb) and type The Essential Three in the search field.
